5 Major Steps To Crack Job Interview

1. Develop a real script.

You can probably sketch out the 10 things you will be asked. Why should we hire you? Why do you fit this role? How can you support the company? I notice some gaps in your resume and so on. Practice answers to those questions. Do not utter the same answers what your friends said at interview room. Prepare your own views, assemble them and make it real.

2. Have the positive attitude.

After screening through the technical hurdle, one find himself/herself too confident some times. But make sure that never be over confident, that you can bluff the person who is sitting at the other side of the table. Always have positive attitude with you. You need to be portrayed to the interviewee what you are.

3. Make sure you’re actually listening.

When people are nervous, they tend to focus on themselves, what they’re saying, how they’re responding. But anxiety can be a blocker that stops you from listening, or makes you miss something vital your interviewer just asked. Try to slow yourself down by taking slow breaths and focusing on the interviewer’s words, not your cogitation. If it’s a complicated question, it’s OK to repeat it and then ask, “Have I got this right?” before you start to answer.

4. Prepare an informative resume.

There are many top class resume formats available in website. Try to follow the format which depicts your credits, strength, weakness, extra-curricular, co-curricular activities. For an example: never copy the career objective from others.

5. Ask a trusted friend to mock interview you and videotape it.

If there’s anyone in your life with real world interview experience, ask them to practice with you. But both of you have to take it seriously. It’s a great dry run. Body language can be a critical component of your interview. With practice, you have a chance to observe and correct your nonverbal messages before you’re in the hot seat.

At the outset just be calm, composed and confident. Try to be yourself is what hold the key for selection.
