Trick to find Scopus or SCI Journals from UGC Approved Journal List

Journal Indexing is significant to all the students, researchers and academicians those who want to publish their research paper in some enriched journals. Before submission of your research paper it is mandatory to check whether it is having good indexing or not. It is really a challenge for a researcher to find Scopus or SCI indexed journals from UGC journal list as UGC is repetitively changing their orientation.

The latest UGC journal list is available at http://ugc.ac.in/journallist/. We can search the journals by their category, name and ISSN numbers easily from the given link.

But the problem is that it is now not possible to find out the journal by the indexing. In the following snapshot we can see that we can find out the journals with their ISSN number, titles etc. but not by their indexing.

When we are clicking on the green ‘view’ button in the left hand side, we find out the detail information about the journal. One example is given:

Earlier the UGC shared 5 pdf of journal list where it was very easy to find the Scopus and Wos journals by using “Ctrl+F” tool. But now the pdf is unavailable in UGC website.

  1. UGC Journal List-1
  2. UGC Journal List-2
  3. UGC Journal List-3
  4. UGC Journal List-4
  5. UGC Journal List-5

The old pdf files are shared here, you can find out the journal names those were indexed and search those titles in the current link provided by UGC. Here you may find out the recent information those journal whether it is approved / indexed or not.

Hope this article will solve the issue of most of the researchers who are also finding problems to find out the proper journals from UGC website. This article will also help all the researchers to find the substantial documents about those journals which were indexed earlier but now not indexed in UGC journal list.
